Financial Analyst

Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc., a leading marketer of small household and commercial appliances, has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst at its headquarters office near Richmond, Virginia.

This position will be heavily involved in detailed processes that drive preparation of long-range plans and short-term forecasts/budgets and the reporting of actual results.

The basic qualifications of the position include:  1) a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field; 2) at least 1-3 years relevant experience in revenue and expense analysis, planning and reporting; 3) financial forecasting and budgeting experience; and 4) demonstrated ability to analyze detailed financial data, design and generate appropriate reports, and present financial results.  Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel and Access) required, Cognos software products a plus.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a high energy level, strong work ethic, and excellent technical, interpersonal and communication skills, along with demonstrated ability to work independently and use good judgment.  Local candidates highly preferred.
