Easy Pound Cake

Course: Kid Friendly, Desserts

Products: Stand Mixers, Hand Mixers

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs, unbeaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Place butter and sugar in a large mixing bowl. Using traditional beaters, cream butter and sugar on speed 3, until fluffy.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating approximately 1 minute after each addition. Add vanilla and beat for about 2 minutes.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Beat 3 minutes at speed 3.
  4. Place in a greased and floured tube pan and bake at 325°F for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely before serving.
