Maple Baked Beans

Recommended Hamilton Beach® Product:  Slow Cooker - 6 or 7 Quart Size

  • 8 cans (15 oz.) pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 4 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled


  1. Combine all ingredients in the crock.
  2. Cover and cook on preferred setting: Low - 6 to 8 hours, High - 3 to 4 hours.

Serves:  15

Success Tip:  Cook the bacon in the microwave for less mess and easier cleanup. Place 3 paper towels on a microwave-safe plate or dish. Place 5 strips of bacon on the paper towels. Cover with a paper towel and place the remaining 5 strips of bacon. Cover with a paper towel. Microwave on high (100%) power for 4 1/2 to 6 minutes. Turn dish halfway through cooking time. Let bacon rest 5 minutes. Remove from paper towels. Crumble when cool.

Substitution:  Use either pure maple syrup or maple-flavored syrup in this recipe.
