The Hamilton Beach® Set’N Forget® Slow Cooker with Integrated Temperature Probe
Temperature of Meat Monitored with Probe; Eliminates the Guesswork for Large Cuts
The Set’N Forget® slow cooker features a detachable probe that not only monitors the internal temperature of meat, but also automatically reduces the heat to “keep-warm” when a pre-programmed temperature has been reached. It’s a first for slow-cooking – roasts, chicken, turkey and pork cooked perfectly without having to lift off the lid to check the meat.
The 6-quart Set’N Forget® slow cooker also can be programmed in “timer” mode. It’s perfect for busy cooks with other places to be than the kitchen. The cooking time can be set in half-hour increments for up to 12 hours at “high” or “low” temperatures. Prepare a dish in the morning and return to the kitchen at dinner time to a fully cooked meal. A countdown is displayed, and it automatically switches to “keep-warm” when done – how convenient!
“Manual” mode is available for traditional slow-cooking functioning.
The Set’N Forget® slow cooker is made for ease of use. The removable stoneware dish and lid are dishwasher-safe, and cooks can look in through the glass lid without letting the flavor out. The large, full-grip, metal handles mean peace of mind when having to lift and move the slow cooker when full.
The control pad doesn’t jut out into valuable counter space, but lays flat to the stainless-steel finish. The probe detaches from both the silicon gasket in the lid and the plug on the base for easy storage.
Integrated Probe – A first for slow cookers and perfect for large cuts of meat. Set desired temperature of meat and when reached, the slow cooker automatically switches to “keep warm.” No more undercooked or burned meals. Free up the oven for other dishes.
Timer Mode – Set cooking time at half-hour increments for up to 12-hours of either “high” or “low” heat. Keep an eye on time remaining with displayed countdown, or have peace of mind knowing that when done, the slow cooker automatically switches to “keep warm.”
Ease of Use – Manual mode operates just like traditional slow cooker. Large oversized metal handles for easy, confident grip. Large 6-quart stoneware dish is removable and dishwasher-safe. Glass lid to watch over meal also is dishwasher safe.
