In a busy kitchen, 30 seconds can be the difference between easily spreading butter on hot toast or scraping it onto bread that has cooled. The Hamilton Beach® SmartToast® 2-Slice toaster lets toasted food wait inside the slot when done, keeping toast warmer than a pop-up toaster. When consumers are ready, the food can be easily lifted out of the slot with the toasting lever.
This toaster comes with "smart" functions, created to simplify the common uses of a toaster. Bagels, frozen bagels and frozen toast have their own custom heating cycles, each with its own control button that is illuminated with a blue LED glow when in use. The SmartToast® 2-Slice toaster has a "cancel" button that eliminates the need to move or force controls to an "off" position to interrupt toasting.
The SmartToast® 2-Slice toaster has a long slot that provides enough space for toasting two slices of bread, or the two sides of a bagel and also oversized foods like slices of gourmet bread and hot dog buns. It uses a 1000-watt heater that toasts bread quickly - nearly 20 percent faster than a lower wattage toaster. When toasting is complete, a clear tone sounds to signal food is ready. It has a crumb tray that slides out for easy cleanup.
The SmartToast® 2-Slice toaster is designed to fit into a compact space without compromising style. The controls of the toaster are on its widest face, and the entire toaster has a small footprint. It has a brushed-metal top panel and distinctive illuminated controls.
