Meatballs and Roasted Red Pepper Marinara

  • Two 14.5 oz cans no salt added diced tomatoes, one can drained, one can undrained
  • ½ cup roasted red peppers, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled, crushed
  • ½ small yellow onion, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 18 frozen, precooked turkey meatballs, thawed
Directions
  1. Add tomatoes, peppers, onion, garlic, oregano and basil to crock. Stir to combine.
  2. Add thawed meatballs and stir to cover with sauce.
  3. Cook for 3 hours on HIGH or 5 hours on LOW until meatballs are heated to at least 160° F internal temperature. Visit foodsafety.gov for more information.
  4. Season to taste with fresh ground pepper.
