Hummus for blender


  • 1 can (19 oz.) garbanzo beans (chickpeas), drained
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Water


  1. Place first five ingredients in blender jar, cover. 
  2. Blend on high.
  3. If too thick, add water one tablespoon at a time.
  4. Serve with rye toast or pita wedges.

Serves:  10-12

Substitution:  Use either fresh or bottled lemon juice.
