Salsa Verde

Ingredients

Recommended Hamilton Beach® Product: Blenders


  • 5 Serrano chiles (available in cans – use fewer chiles for a less “hot” salsa)
  • 1 (28oz) can tomatillos (green tomatoes) OR 2 (11oz) cans – no salt added
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro 
  • 1 ripe avocado, pitted and peeled

Directions

DIRECTIONS:

1. Place all ingredients in blender except cilantro and avocado.  Blend at medium speed until smooth.
2. Add cilantro and avocado.  Pulse several times until JUST incorporated.

TEST KITCHEN TIP:
Place avocados in a brown paper bag to help them ripen more quickly.

YIELD:
20 servings
