Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Engineer (based on experience)

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Work with product development teams to establish and communicate quality specifications, drive continuous improvements, and consumer satisfaction for new and existing products
  • Use quality tools along with engineering knowledge and skills to identify root causes of problems, determine corrective and preventative actions, improve quality of product designs, and reduce returns.
  • Work with manufacturers and HBB Quality staff in China to implement product quality improvements
  • Travel to China as needed to fulfill the responsibilities of the position

Basic Qualifications:

  • A BS in ME, EE or related discipline is required; graduate degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years’ applicable experience for the Quality Engineer or a minimum of 5 years’ applicable experience for the Senior Quality Engineer is required Applicable experience includes quality engineering work or related product assurance work, preferably with exposure to both manufacturing and corporate environments
  • Education or training in statistics and other quality tools is required; Six Sigma, Green Belt or Black Belt certification, and/or CQE certification
  • Strong computer skills are required; experience with data analysis tools (such as MiniTab, Tableau and/or R) and experience with CAD are desirable
  • Must have demonstrated outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have the proven ability to set, balance and change priorities to reflect customer requirements 
  • Must be a self-starter with proven accomplishments and strong problem solving abilities
  • Must have demonstrated an above-average ability to participate in a team environment
  • Design engineering experience is preferred
