We are seeking qualified candidates for a Web Specialist opportunity at our Corporate Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia.  This role will be responsible for implementing and maintaining dynamic, interactive, and usable eCommerce websites for Hamilton Beach Brands.

Responsibilities of the position include: 

  • Optimize and maintain our branded eCommerce websites and support marketing and promotional plans
  • Develop and execute site strategies from conception through execution, preserving site and brand standards and in collaboration with internal teams and external agencies
  • Maintain and update website content leveraging Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics to drive reach
  • Manage maintenance and technical support in a timely manner; monitor site performance, troubleshoot and correct technical issues, make additions or modifications to the websites, and work with agency and internal teams to resolve issues as they arise
  • Monitor and manage online product assortments to visually assist consumers throughout the purchasing lifecycle
  • Manage website analytics and reporting; identify opportunities for site, merchandising, and usability improvements; plan and execute site revisions
  • Perform site functionality and usability testing in various web browsers and operating systems; identify and resolve broken links, assist in testing new and evolved site functionality before launch
  • Assist with eNewsletter creation, deployment, and list segmentation in HubSpot CRM

 Requirements of the position include: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development, Advertising, Marketing, or an IT degree with specialty in digital marketing
  • 1-3 years of previous web development experience
  • Experience with HTML/CSS/PHP with core technical skills to support responsive/mobile first websites.
  • Experience working with a Content Management System (MODX or similar)
  • Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver experience (or similar image editing and publishing software)
  • Email newsletter creation and publishing skills using a CRM (HubSpot experience a plus)
  • Contemporary knowledge of emerging web-based and digital technologies with demonstrable application experience
  • Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and related tactics
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and website reporting

The successful candidate will help deliver a best-in-class branded manufacturer site experience, ensure all content is up to date, implement timely and impactful website updates, optimize websites to deliver a user-friendly design with clear navigation and compelling content that supports our business objectives. S/he will aid in creating and executing marketing strategies focused on driving website traffic, educating our consumers, building our brands, and selling products.
