Ingredients

  • 10 ounces (2-inch diameter) small red potatoes
  • 1 ½ teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Coarse black pepper

Directions

  1. Pierce potatoes with a fork and arrange in an even layer in the air fryer basket. Cook on 350°F until tender, 20 to 25 minutes.
  2. Place potatoes on a cutting board. Using a 2-inch flat surface, press down to smash potatoes.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together potatoes, olive oil, garlic, salt and black pepper.
  4. In air fryer basket, arrange smashed potatoes in an even layer. Set air fryer temperature on 400°F.
  5. Turning half way through cooking, cook 12 to 14 minutes, or until potato edges are crispy.
