Lavender Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-high, heat water until boiling.

  2. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.

  3. Reduce heat to low, add lavender and cook 1 minute.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool 2 hours. Strain through a fine sieve.

  5. Place in an airtight container and refrigerate. Add to coffee or tea with half and half, if desired.

Makes: 1 cup
