Pears & Pineapple Poached in Amaretto

Ingredients

Recommended Hamilton Beach® Product:
Slow Cooker - 5 or 6 Quart Size
  • 4 cans (28 oz. each) pear halves, drained
  • 2 cans (20 oz. each) pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup Amaretto
  • 1 (2-inch piece) vanilla bean

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker. Stir carefully to avoid breaking up the fruit.
  2. Cover and cook on preferred setting:
    • Low - 3 hours
    • High - 1.5 hours
Serves: 8-10 (8 oz. servings)
