Slow Cooker Chicken Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 to 2 pounds chicken tenders
  • 2 large green peppers, cut in strips
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons rotisserie seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons Italian salad dressing
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split
  • 4 slices Cheddar or American cheese
  • 1/4 cup banana pepper rings, optional
  • Hot Sauce or ketchup, optional

Directions

  1. In slow cooker crock, combine chicken tenders, pepper strips and onion slices with rotisserie seasoning and salt.
  2. Cook on HIGH for 2 to 2 1/2 hours or LOW for 4 to 5 hours.
  3. Heat oven broiler. Open rolls and place on a cookie sheet
  4. Slice chicken tenders. Place back in slow cooker. With a slotted spoon, divide chicken, peppers and onions among rolls and drizzle with Italian dressing. Top with cheese slices.
  5. Place under broiler until cheese is melted, about 2 mintues.
  6. Serve with banana peppers, hot sauce or ketchup, if desired.
